Two, three or four people can fish out of a 23’ Parker center console boat. Spin, Conventional or Fly tackle can be used depending on the fish you’re after.

Reef, Wrecks and Blue Water Fishing in the Florida Keys
Snapper – there are five different kinds of snappers found around the Keys on the reef, mangrove snapper (gray snapper), mutton snapper, school master, lane snapper and yellowtail snapper. Capt. Lenny thinks that these are the best eating fish in the Keys
Grouper – gag, black and red grouper are the most common of the groupers caught in the Keys, excellent table fare.
Mackerel – cero and Spanish mackerel are all caught on the reef but the fish that is the most fun is the king mackerel, commonly between 15 and 40 lbs. and they get much bigger.
Sharks – sometimes a nuisance and at other times a target species. Bull, blacktip, lemmons, hammerhead and the occasional tiger shark, big, hard fighting and exciting.
False Albacore – anyone that has caught any of the fish in the tuna family knows how they all fight. A great fish on light tackle or fly rod.
Black Fin Tuna – this fish are available just off the reef and average about 15 to 20 lbs and fight really hard and are good to eat.
Cobia – sometimes they just show up when you’re snapper fishing or you can target them around the wrecks or other structures, great table fare and hard fighting.
Jacks – some of the species of big jacks show up where ever you’re fishing are jack crevalle, bar jacks, horse eye and amber jacks, fun to catch and hard fighting, real tackle busters.
Dolfin Fish – Mai Mai – found in the blue water throughout the year but the best fishing is in the spring and early summer. Small or big, they’re all fun and great eating.
Sailfish – sailfish are found on the Atlantic side of the Keys. We catch some sails by accident but I don’t really target them. We can recommend guides that specialize in catching sailfish if that’s what you really want to catch.
Wahoo – found in the blue water, very fast, powerful and hard fighting as well as great table fare. Caught many time while targeting dolphin fish or tuna.
